Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, back after a refreshing holiday with family in London, will be facing the camera to shoot for a Malayalam film based on the 1999 Kandahar Air India flight hijack episode with Mohan Lal in Ooty.Bachchan flew to Coimbatore this morning and travelled to Ooty by road to join the cast and crew of the film being directed by Major Ravi.Big B said even though the language will be Malayalam, his character in the film is North Indian so he will be speaking in Hindi, with an odd sentence in Malayalam."Now that shall be tough, but effort shall be made, lets see what happens," he wrote on his blog.As soon as he landed in Coimbatore, the Bollywood legend turned nostalgic and tweeted, "Doing this after ages..Nostalgic.. So many movies shot here.. Family holidays with kids.. "The actor's role in the film will require him to shoot for three days and has declined the charge fee for his work.He said South Indian superstar Mohan Lal has been and still is one of the most incredible talents from Kerala and the Malayalam film industry. The two shared screen space in Ram Gopal Varma's 'Aag', a remake of Sholay where Mohan Lal essayed the role of 'Thakur' and Bachchan played dacoit Gabbar Singh.Bachchan said he was a great admirer of Mohan Lal and his work."He has a unique body and face language. You get the feeling that he is doing nothing, yet it results in the most amazing results - natural, without effort and effective. Just such a joy to watch him," Bachchan said. The idea of working in a Malayalam film fructified during Bachchan's visit to Kerala to felicitate Resul Pookuty, the Oscar winner from "Slumdog Millionaire". Mohan Lal was a guest at the function and came up to Bachchan with the offer of working with him in Major Ravi's movie."My admiration for Mohan Lal could never have made me refuse this offer and so I do it for him," he said.Bachchan blogged that that he was visiting Ooty after ages. "I think last shot.. 'Dostana', 'Mard' and 'Aakhri Raasta', 'Hum' there. Wonder if it has become more crowded and if the forests and hills and lakes have been left in their pristine condition," he said. However, reports that the area might have problems with internet connections are worrying Big B, who has become tech savvy interacting with fans through his tweets and blog."Reports of advance parties are that I may have a problem with internet connections. Hope this is not true. It has become our lifeline.. has it not ? No Internet - no Blog or tweet!," he wrote.
